Writing your first post

Created by Mark Thompson, Modified on Wed, Jun 10 at 5:59 PM by Mark Thompson

Posts are the core publishing format in TribeTale. A post can be drafted, adjusted in post settings, published immediately, or scheduled for later.

Start a post

  1. Open your publication in TribeTale.
  2. Open the editor.
  3. Add a clear title.
  4. Write the body of your post.
  5. Use post settings to review the URL, publish date, tags, excerpt, authors, and featured status before publishing.

Save state

The editor shows a saved state while you work. Before leaving a long draft, wait for TribeTale to show that your latest changes are saved.

Before publishing

  • Read the opening paragraph out loud for clarity.
  • Add tags that match the topic.
  • Write a short excerpt for previews.
  • Check the post URL slug.
  • Confirm whether the post should be public or members-only during beta.
